Hello folks, we have great news here the traditional trail driving vehicle giant is about to bring back Jeep Wrangler Scrambler in the 2028. They are reviving 1980s classic mid door pickup but this time they are engineering this for more speed rather than a traditional slow-speed trail vehicle. The 2028 Jeep Wrangler Scrambler was first spotted at the 2026 Stellantis Investor Day. i was impressed by it’s look but more surprised when i found out that it is likely to have 6.4-litre Hemi V-8 found in the Wrangler Rubicon 392. also, there are rumors that it might offer a four- or six-cylinder engine option in the entry level models.
Most interesting change that i am noticing in this model is that they are going to offer a Independent Front Suspension (IFS) in place of current wranglers signature solid front axle. as per Jeep, this suspension is going to improve rock crawling and improved stability over high speed.

Powertrain & Performance
This upcoming 2027-28 Jeep Wrangler Scrambler will be carrying same body-on-frame architecture of the Wrangler and Gladiator with significant structural upgrades. It will offer high-performance SRT model and it is expected to get 6.4-litre 392 Hemi V-8 with 9-speed auto transmission.
The entry level trims are likely to have new 2.0-litre Hurricane inline-four turbo or the tried-and-tested 3.6-litre Pentastar V-6. this is good because it offers much more power than the standard Gladiator which has only option of 3.6-litre Pentastar V-6 paired with either a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Pricing
As of writing this article there is no official pricing available for the 2028 Jeep Scrambler but as per our analysis and added feature expect a heavy price tag on it. It’s Rubicon is already priced at over $70,000. Since Scrambler is going to be custom two door, produced in limited numbers and high performance SRT badge will naturally make it priced much higher that what current Jeep Trucks are priced.
Industry analyst are expecting pricing window between $85,000 to $95,000 for the V-8 launch model. which will go up to six figure when added optional accessories and destination charges. but i think Jeep will offer two optional engines which will be priced little lower price and help to capture significant market cap.
