Hey guys, welcome back. So, we just saw the preproduction model reveal of Hero Xpulse 450 and i must admit that Hero has impressed me. this is revealed just after Royal Enfield’s Himalayan 750 i guess timing is good to keep people on hold for cheaper alternative. anyways, this is not comparison article between them so let’s get into what we know about Hero Xpulse 450.

  • Engine – 421 cc, Single-Cylinder, Liquid-Cooled, 4-Valve DOHC
  • Power – ~46.7 bhp @ 9,100 rpm
  • Torque – ~38 Nm @ 7,500 rpm
  • Exp. Price – ₹2.70 Lakh – ₹3.00 Lakh
  • Release Date – April 2027

Starting at the seat structure, this design reminded me of True Snolf or Africa Twin it is very similar but little smaller. this is like 60 % size of the Africa Twin. Cushion looks good and smooth but we have to wait for how it feels when we take it on longer rides.

Another eye-catching upgrade from Xpulse 210 is the new tank, In its predecessor we used to feel like it is very top heavy but this new tank design feels like blended inside the bike.

Let’s move to windshield, Hero will offer a adjustable windshield but problem is that it will be manual and i saw three screws there so we can’t adjust it instantly. i want Hero to work on it and make it easy adjustable rather than a lengthy process of unscrew and fit in the final production model.

I can tell just by looking at it that overall build is really premium and do you know what the most interesting thing is? you will get grooves standard, which means you can directly mount your box on it. Also, the quality of top rack is best, it’s fit and finish looks amazing.

This is built for the adventure, you will get tubeless spoke wheel on both but sprocket size is little bigger than the Himalayan 750. maybe because Himalayan is mainly made for highways and Xpulse 450 is made for adventure.

Let’s discuss front look, this looks absolutely premium and fantastic. it has dual projector lights on the top and single light below them. LED Blinkers are also given so Hero has made it on serious note. Knuckle guards and radiator guard will come as a part of accessories.

Chassis and swing arm and upswift exhaust are totally new in this model. other features that i expect and had buttons are cruise control and start stop blinkers.

Overall, this is an complete adventure bike with all the latest modern features we just have to wait for the official numbers to come out and see how it stand against Himalayan 440, KTM ADV 390, TVS Apache RTR 300.
